Teeth Whitening
The technique our office uses for teeth whitening is safe and extremely
effective. At the initial visit we take upper and lower impressions of your
teeth. The second visit we perform “power bleach” which is done with an
extremely concentrated carbamide peroxide, this jumpstarts the process. At the
end of the visit we provide the patient with their custom made trays and home
bleaching gel. We instruct our patients to use the gel for a minimum of one hour
per day for the next 30 days. We schedule the patients for a second power bleach
approximately 30 days after the initial appointment.
Most patients have achieved the desired results at the end of their second
appointment. We then advise the patient to perform a one hour maintenance
bleaching once a month to retain those results. Negative side effects are rare
but occasionally patients will complain of increased sensitivity of their teeth.
We advise them to call us for a no-charge fluoride treatment which generally
will relieve the symptoms.
The cost of the procedure is minimal, and includes no-charge bleach for
patients on record.
